After a nice buffet breakfast we left the hotel at about 10:00 a.m. We wanted to have a leisurely morning before heading out so we felt we deserved an unrushed and tasty breakfast. We gassed up before getting to the Ambassador Bridge and made it into Ontario rather quickly (just before pulling into the gas station we passed the oil change shop where Jim got the oil changed on Friday, we ahoogaed, and the guys in the shop waved their hands at us and later sent us an email telling us they had seen us go by. What a great group!). Oh, should mention Julie found a quick route from the hotel to the border crossing which was a major plus. Off we went on a different route eastward to avoid the unexpected detours we encountered on our way to Dearborn. We made various stops including one at Erieau Beach and saw interesting sights along the entire route to Simcoe, Ontario, where we will spend the night. Arrived in Simcoe around 6:15pm. Henrietta ran all day, 192 miles, with no trouble. Good day. Tired, but happy. Will head home through Buffalo in the morning.
